Movers & Shakers: New hires, honors, promotions, new businesses


- Local interior designer Mary Sue Hafey, owner of Fringe Benefit Custom Interiors, was a winner in the International Ingenuity Design Competition sponsored by Hunter Douglas. The competition was held at the International Window Coverings Expo in Las Vegas. Hafey placed second in the Top Treatments Division.


- Greccio Housing, a local nonprofit that provides affordable housing, announced the selection of Gloria Mendoza as director of property management. Mendoza replaces Tracey Griggs, who has held the position for the past seven years and is leaving to pursue a career at American Airlines. Mendoza is a licensed Realtor and is the founder and president of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals.- C.W. Craig Reed, director of food and beverage at The Broadmoor hotel, was named a winner of the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association's Silver Plate award, which honors restaurant executives for career achievement and innovation.
